School Council and roles of responsibility at Brightwell Primary School
At Brightwell we have are proud to have pupil representatives that take part in School Council meetings. These councils are in place so that pupils have a voice and are involved in decisions about the school that affect them. Through School Council all pupils have the opportunity to raise issues, share ideas and take part in discussions that involve all of their classmates in reaching a democratic solution. In 2020 our elections were held on the General Election Day. Pupils at Brightwell know that this is their school and their thoughts and ideas matter.
Our Year 6 students are our Learning Ambassadors. They proudly distribute postcards to all classes, praising fantastic learning and provide weekly support to all classes e.g. reading with our Pippin children and joining our Bramley children for mindfulness.
In term 6, our Year 5 children are supported through the Active Leaders programme to facilitate and lead activities during break and lunchtimes for our school community throughout the academic year.
